Lifesaving course .com is a OneStopStation to assist you in completing your lifesaving 123 in accordance with Singapore LifeSaving Society Awards Syllabus.
Aims : 1- To provide an introduction to lifesaving and to develop an initial appreciation of water safety, rescue and resuscitation skills
2- To improve trainee's knowledge and skills in lifesaving preparatory to the Standard Module
Pre-requisite : Must be able to swim at least 100 meters in breaststroke or freestyle
Minimum Age : 11 years old+
Class Size : 2 - 8 Learners
Duration (Adult only) : 6 Sessions of 2 hours / 4 Sessions of 3 hours
Course Fee : $300 per pax or $70 per month (children)
Course Syllabus :
This stage is suitable for students who are new to swimming. The focus of the class is on basic water skills, basic strokes, and deep water orientation. The foundation for learning is set with the basics of water safety and land-based non-contact rescue.
Understanding basic concept of lifesaving.
Basic water skills like trend with hand, lifesaving side stroke, lifesaving back stroke
Reaching Rescue, Buoyant Aid throw Rescue, Wade Rescue and Accompanied Rescue.
Swim comfortably with 2 of the four recognisable stroke for 100m.
Introduction to basic recovery for unconscious casualty.
Handling uncooperative casualties, tow rescue, and rope throw rescue.
Swim comfortably with 2 of the four recognisable stroke for 150m.
Tread water without using your arms, scull water with arms in Ready Position, and rescue an unconscious casualty (breathing and non-breathing).
Emergency rescue, underwater recovery, defensive and release techniques, and fully-clothed emergency rescue.
Swim comfortably with 2 of the four recognisable stroke for 200m.
